What that means in plain terms

Many of the product links on this site are affiliate links, primarily to Amazon. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise; the commission comes out of Amazon’s margin, not your pocket.

It never changes our picks

This is the part that matters. A commission has never decided a ranking on this site. No brand pays us for placement. No manufacturer sends us free products. We routinely rank a cheaper product above a pricier one even though the pricier one would pay us more — because our job is to help you buy the right thing, and a site that recommends the wrong product for a bigger cut is worthless. How our prices work

Prices on this site are pulled live from the Amazon Product API and stamped with the date we fetched them. Prices and availability on Amazon change constantly. If our data is more than 48 hours old, we stop showing the number entirely and the button reads “Check price on Amazon” instead — we would rather show you nothing than a stale number. Whatever Amazon displays at checkout is the price that counts.

Outbound links

Our affiliate links carry a rel="sponsored nofollow"attribute, in line with Google’s guidance on paid and affiliate links, and route through a redirect so we can keep the destination current. Non-commercial links to references and sources are ordinary links and earn us nothing.
